Why subscribe?

Just subscribe for fun. I’m only writing for fun. No paywall (yet?). I’m the author of several non-fiction and fiction books, as well as a former/occasional journalist. I’ve had a year off writing deadlines and am feeling my way through to something new… This Substack is a place for me to round up lovely things, as well as some memoir-ish strands, maybe thoughts on writing and reading. I like to try different things out here. It doesn’t cost a penny for my thoughts but it is both lovely and helpful for me to know what you’ve enjoyed reading.
