Loving Friends and Neighbours too. Massive John Hamm crush. Dubai is fascinating to me and somehow unconscionable… I suppose that makes me a bit dour and overly Scottish. I should probably go and have a look but I just don’t WANT to.

I'd do Vegas instead for an unconscionable experience... also bears no more than three nights but has more of self-knowing atmosphere to it.

I so want that red skirt! Almost bought it in Liverpool the other day. Maybe if someone invites me somewhere nice I’ll treat myself ♥️. Agree re Dubai - I’ve only ever done a few hours in the airport but it holds no appeal whatsoever. Now off to buy the book! Have a great Sunday/week and thanks Jessica. So glad to be here xx

Thank you Sara! And go on... if you have the skirt, then you'll make sure there's a party to wear it at...

M&S drama isn’t over, Jessica. Got all excited then but they’ve still paused online orders. You hit the nail on the head re Dubai; they’re not reading the room and our current feelings about billionaires I don’t think.

Whoops! Sorry - have updated. Goodness, that's going on fora LONG time for them - and just when everyone is talking about them for the right reasons.

No worries at all. They must have lost millions over this mustn’t they, I feel for them. I’ve had a basket for a fortnight and when I put them in there were quite a few ‘hurry, only 1 left’ so I’ve no chance have I? We’re so far from a branch…

There is a lot more to the UAE than bling. I lived there for 36 years.

Of course! It was not a nuanced comment of mine, I freely admit. It came mostly from the pov of being in a hotel for 3 nights… Everywhere is more interesting when you really get under the skin of it. Tell us more! I think it’s a mysterious place and we need to hear more from people who really know what it’s like…

Short but sweet entry!

Real tans are certainly something of the past for me, I'm always looking for a natural self-tanner. I will give it a try. Saw Netflix show The Four Seasons was playing on evening and jumped on it. The original movie with Alan Alda and Carol Burnett was a date night movie WAY back in the day. I was delighted a much older Alda appears in an episode. I agree that the Tina Fey character was downgraded and just didn't fit. Story changed a little bit too, but I would have watched it regardless just for the Vivaldi tunes!

Me too with the Vivaldi!

Interested in the Coco and Eve. Slightly put off by the mousse formula though - do you need a glove to apply? I'm absolutely useless at self tan as a rule. Also how long does it last please? X

Yes, mousse and best applied with a mitt but that makes it so easy, and because you can see where it's going, you don't mess up. Lasts a good five days, I'd say, possibly a bit longer depending on how hot your showers are.

Do you find it a bit patchy around the feet? That's always my problem!

No - but top tip - lightly smear the palms of your hands with body lotion and then sweep them over knees, elbows and soles of feet. That should stop patches. Also give yourself a good scrubbing with loofah or sponge in shower beforehand.

I enjoyed the whole post, but I'm fixated on that red dress. The color! The puff! Wear it in good health, as my grandma used to say. It's gorgeous.
