You are so right...butt in chair and ideas on paper is the only way to start writing for me. Just get it on the page and edit later. Keeping a journal helps in aiding the structure of a writing schedule. I am a voracious reader and I give the three years living without a television and book-loving parents the credit for planting the seed of a reading life. Writing is hand in hand with reading for me. Throughout my life, writing has given me the opportunity to work through the hard times and rejoice in the beauty of life. Lists are magic! Both my husband and I (and my daughter) made lists and I find them, especially since his death, helpful and a way to move me through the days. And it keeps a pen in my hand! Thank you, Jessica!
